It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Jane Katherine Suddarth. Jane joined her husband Thomas Nick Suddarth over 70 years for his heavenly birthday on October 16th. She will be dearly missed by her many friends and family.

Jane Katherine Sample Suddarth, born Concord Twp, Pemiscot County, MO on January 23, 1929 to Irvin and Kate Sample.  Married Thomas Nicholson on March 1, 1947 in Piggott, AR.

Predeceased by parents, brother, Tom Sample, brother, Junior Sample, and brother, Sharon Sample.

Survived by son, John (Anne) Suddarth, and daughter, Katherine Sangiorgi.  Granddaughters: Taylor Dawson and Kati Sangiorgi.  Grandsons: Nick Suddarth, John Wayne (Britney) Suddarth and Tyler Suddarth.  Great grandchildren:  Riley, Marley, J.T., Elliana Suddarth and Hayden and Rowan Magena.

Attended Dry Bayou Elementary School 1-6 grades, Concord Elementary School 7-8, Wardell High School 9-12.  University of Tennessee Jr. College in Martin, Tennessee 2 years then to Ole Miss in Oxford, MS earning a BA and my Master’s degree in Home Economics Education from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

Taught High School Home Economics 5 years in Wardell.  Moved to Phoenix and taught Elementary School Home Economics 2 years at Orangewood Elementary School, Substitute Teacher in Washington Elementary Schools for 10 years, High School Home Economics to Special Education for 5 years.  Changed profession and became a Pharmacy Technician at Good Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix, AZ for 13 years.

Jane was a member of the Eastern Star and P.E.O. Sisterhood, Asbury United Methodist for 58 years and moved membership to First United Methodist Church in 2017, Phoenix, AZ.  Member of DAR since 1996, served as Regent 4 years and Chaplain for 4 years.

Jane enjoyed traveling to many places in the world:  Canada (British Columbia, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia), Israel, Jordon, Egypt, England, Ireland, Scotland, Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Vatican City, Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium, Luxemburg, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, China, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Burma, Mexico, Costa Rico, Panama, Cayman Island, Aruba, Jamaica, Bahamas and 49 states and never to Michigan.  

In lieu of flowers make donations to the Honor Flight Arizona.  Honor Flights take WW II and Korean Veterans on an all expense paid trip to Washington, DC, to see their memorials. https://www.honorflight.org/

Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 5510 N. Central Ave. on Tuesday October 29th at 10 am. Followed by reception at First United Methodist Church in Wesley Lounge.
